Spoilers/Setting: After the manga.
Summary: Dee’s furniture proves a bit of a mood killer.
Disclaimer: I don’t own FAKE, or the characters. They belong to the wonderful Sanami Matoh.
A/N: Double drabble.
Okay, so the sofa hadn’t been new when Dee had gotten it, having plucked it from the side of the road after someone threw it out. He’d asked first, even offered to buy it, but they’d just taken delivery of a new suite and hadn’t wanted the old sofa, so they’d told him to take it.
That had been what, five or six years ago? No, seven. It had been just after he’d moved into this apartment; he’d been scrounging for furniture wherever he could find it. Back then, his bed had been a mattress on the floor, and his TV stand had been an old packing crate. Good times. He mostly had proper furniture now, but the sofa had served him well; he’d had no reason to replace it. Until now.
He and Ryo had been getting a little frisky, nothing too adventurous since they still had their clothes on, but they’d been getting to the point where less clothing would’ve been better and then…
SPROINGGGG!
The sofa had suddenly sagged beneath them, and Ryo had yelped as a sharp bit of spring poked him in the butt.
Dee rolled onto the floor. “Guess I need a new sofa.”
