Summary: Martha and her family have been through a traumatic experience.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.
Martha, her sister, and their parents had lived through an unimaginable year-long nightmare. All they’d wanted once it was finally over was to go home and put it behind them, but how could they?
All four of them were bearing mental and emotional scars from it, perhaps a few physical ones too. What they’d seen, and the things they’d been forced to do, couldn’t simply be shrugged off as if none of it had ever happened.
Traumatised patients were usually advised to see a therapist, but who could Martha and her family talk to? All they had was each other.
