A/N: Double drabble.
None of his attempts to snare the delectable Ryo Maclean seemed to be working and Berkeley Rose decided he must be going about it the wrong way. His approach so far had been reminiscent of that used by Maclean’s partner; Laytner was a lout and a lazy layabout, his seduction attempts ham-fisted at best, but while Rose’s technique was more sophisticated it was obviously too similar.
Ryo required more delicate handling, and Berkeley could certainly provide that, a gracious invitation to dinner and the theatre perhaps. They could sit in Rose’s private box and get to know each other better.
“Ah, Ryo, just the man I wanted to see!”
“Sir? Is there something I can help you with?”
“As a matter of fact there is. I was hoping you might join me tomorrow night for dinner and a show. I have two tickets to ‘Les Miserables’ at the Beaumont.”
“That’s a generous offer, Sir, but I already have plans. I promised Bikky if he did well in his exams I’d take him to a basketball game. Dee already got the tickets.”
“Well how about tonight?”
“I think not, Sir. I wouldn’t feel comfortable socialising with my boss.”
Damn. Foiled again!
