A/N: Double drabble.
Sitting at his desk in the squad room, Dee pulled his new glasses off and rubbed behind his ear, frowning.
“You okay?” Ryo asked.
“Fine. Guess I just never knew how uncomfortable glasses could be; they really pinch. Maybe I should’a gotten contacts instead, but since I only need ‘em when I’m usin’ a computer it would’ve been a pain havin’ to put ‘em in and take ‘em out all the time. How d’you manage? Don’t your ears get sore?”
Because he was longsighted, Ryo had been wearing glasses for years, although they were only necessary for reading and other close-up work.
“New glasses almost always pinch; you just need to get them adjusted. Might take a few tries to get them exactly right, everybody’s different, but you don’t have to put up with discomfort.”
“So I just need to go back to where I got ‘em?”
“Yes. Adjustments are usually free.”
“Great! I’ll go after work.”
The following day, Dee put his glasses on again, pleased to find they no longer pinched. It was great at first, but now they kept sliding down the bridge of his nose. Sighing, he pushed them back up.
“Haveta get ‘em adjusted again.”
