Summary: Martha feels like she’s under a microscope.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Doctor Who, or the characters.
Martha shifted her feet, uncomfortably aware of the scrutiny she was under. She was beginning to understand how an amoeba might feel if it was stuck on a slide beneath a microscope, being studied by someone at the other end of the evolutionary ladder. She’d never felt smaller or more insignificant, and she’d studied parasitology under Doctor Klein, a man who treated his specimens with more consideration than he showed his students.
The towering alien entity said something in a language Martha didn’t understand.
“What did it say?” she hissed at the Doctor.
“Humans aren’t as primitive as she’d expected.”
