drabble_zone.Setting: After Like Like Love.
Summary: The right music can work wonders after a rough day.

A/N: Double drabble.
Ryo was busy preparing dinner when Dee arrived home from picking up a few groceries. The radio was playing quietly in the background, and he was humming along as he peeled vegetables to go with the meatloaf that was already in the oven. Although he usually preferred to cook something more elaborate, work had been rough and meatloaf was one of Dee’s basic comfort foods, especially using Mother’s tried and tested recipe.
Coming into the kitchen, Dee set the grocery bags on the counter, kissed his lover on the cheek, and sniffed the air.
“Is that Mother’s meatloaf? Smells great!” Turning back to the groceries, he was halfway through emptying the first bag when something made him pause. “Hey, I love this song! Turn it up!”
Ryo smiled, wiping his hands before reaching for the volume control. Next thing he knew, Dee was right there, spinning him around and pulling him close.
“Dee! What’re you doing?”
“Dance with me!”
“But… dinner!”
“It’s not goin’ anywhere. Five minutes won’t make a difference, will it? ‘Sides, after the day we’ve had, don’t we deserve to let our hair down?”
“I guess so.”
Dancing around the kitchen, the day’s stresses gradually melted away.
