There’s something about Captain Jack Harkness. He’s a silver-tongued devil, all charm and good looks, too slick and smooth to be entirely trustworthy. That he’s a conman is easy for the Doctor to believe; he’s all surface and no depth, nothing gets past that flawless exterior, and yet…
Few people are completely irredeemable, and he was willing to sacrifice himself to keep the bomb from destroying another section of London. Besides, Rose likes him. Of course she does; he saved her life.
