Spoilers: Nada.
Summary: Aliens are trying to invade earth. Again.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Torchwood, or the characters.
A/N: Double drabble.
As last gasp attempts went, Ianto supposed it could be considered impressive, after a fashion. The invasion force had certainly given it their best shot, and they hadn’t surrendered at the first sign that they might be a little out of their depth, which said a lot for their courage and fortitude, if not for their common sense. It was just that some people never wanted to admit they were beaten, it was a point of pride to them to keep on trying even when defeat was inevitable.
The main problem was that the Illamon had decided earth was ripe for conquest even though they’d done very little in terms of research into the planet they intended to make their own. If they’d been a massive, heavily armed and armoured force, they might at least have given Torchwood cause for concern, but unfortunately for them, they were hopelessly outmatched.
Yes, there were a thousand of them, and Torchwood only numbered five individuals, but the Illamon were only six inches tall, and the team had caught them in butterfly nets.
Still, their leader had challenged Jack to single combat, winner takes all. Jack won, so now Torchwood owned the Illamon homeworld.
The End
